Two arrested in Hagersville, Ont. after Haldimand OPP recover 17 stolen vehicles valued near 375k

What began as a possession of stolen property investigation by the Haldimand County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has led to two arrests and 17 stolen vehicles being recovered.

Investigators said a search warrant was executed Sept. 22 at an address on Haldimand Road 20 in Hagersville, Ont.

Police did not specify when the initial investigation began but said the investigation had evolved into a larger, more complex case, leading to the search warrant.

Officers recovered 17 stolen vehicles, which included high-end Alfa Romeo, Audi and Jeeps, with an estimated value of $375,000.

A 32-year-old from Ancaster was charged with 11 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and one count of destroying a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

A 56-year-old from Haldimand County was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, trafficking in property obtained by crime, faillure to comply with a release order and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
