Niagara police have arrested five people and nearly 100 charges after a raid in Hamilton uncovered multiple loaded firearms, drugs, and cash tied to a shooting investigation in Grimsby Ont.

In a news release, officials say the search, executed Friday (Oct.17), followed weeks of investigation into a Sept. 24 shooting on South Service Road near Kelson Road.

Officers say they seized three firearms including a loaded handgun, shotgun and an MP5 automatic gun — in addition to fentanyl, crack cocaine, and nearly $2,000 in cash.

In total, five people from Hamilton were arrested, resulting in 78 charges.

Among those accused is 25-year-old Jawad Rabbani, 31-year-old Shamaree Salmon, 27-year-old Samantha McPhee, 28-year old Hannah Baillie and 20 year old Shakem Keane-Dawes.

A full list of charges can be found here.

None of the charges have been tested in court but police say all five were held in custody for a bail hearing.

Anyone with additional information related to the investigation is asked to contact Niagara Regional Police detectives.
