Niagara police believe there may be additional victims after a man was arrested earlier this week following a number of indecent acts and assaults at various businesses across the Niagara region.
In a release, police say officers responded to several calls over three days in Grimsby, St. Catharines, and Niagara-on-the-Lake this month.
Investigators determined that the man had approached several women at a liquor store in Grimsby, and allegedly made sexual gestures and comments.
In a separate incident, the man allegedly assaulted a female clerk at a cannabis store in St. Catharines, and in a third one, he reportedly threw a water bottle at a male employee at a farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Police say Kenneth Bettes, 58, of Niagara-on-the-Lake, was arrested on Nov. 10.
He is facing multiple charges including three counts of criminal harassment, and one count each of assault, indecent act, and assault with a weapon.
Police say Bettes remains in custody and was scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Nov. 11. None of the charges have been tested in court.
Investigators add that they have reason to believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to contact them at (905) 688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009011.
They describe Bettes as a white male, who is six-feet-tall and 240 pounds, with a shaved head and grey facial hair.
