Police are investigating after someone allegedly broke into a Niagara College winery storage facility last month and stole wine.

In a release, Niagara police say the theft happened on Nov. 27 at around 11:55 p.m. on Concession 5 Road, near Queenston Road, in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

They say a suspect arrived on an ATV and used it to break a door. The suspect then removed a quantity of wine and fled on the same vehicle, according to police.

Investigators say the suspect returned two more times throughout the night, stealing more wine each time.

Police are only describing the suspect as having a medium build. They say they wore a black, full-faced motorcycle helmet, a green jacket, brown pants, and black shoes, and carried a black backpack.

The ATV is described a new model, black and grey in colour with a two-up style seat with a backrest, and LED headlights.
