Niagara police are investigating a suspicious residential fire that occurred in the West Lincoln area earlier this week.
Police said officers responded to a fire at 325 West Street, near Thirty Road and South Grimsby Road 5, at around 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 11.
The home was under renovation and unoccupied, according to police.
The West Lincoln Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire and police said damage to the property is estimated to exceed $700,000.
Surveillance cameras at the house captured two suspects on the property shortly before the fire started.
Detectives said they have determined the fire was intentionally set between 2:01 a.m. and 2:16 a.m.
Investigators are asking residents in the area to review their home surveillance footage and anyone who was driving in the area at the time to review dash camera footage for anything that may assist the investigation.
Anyone with information or additional home surveillance footage is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009702, or email 9702@niagarapolice.ca.
