A driving school instructor in Niagara Region has been charged with the sexual assault of a young person.
Niagara Regional Police said the instructor was conducting a driving lesson with a young person when he allegedly committed “unwanted contact for a sexual purpose.”
On Wednesday, police arrested 37-year-old Nithin Peter Bennis and charged him with sexual exploitation and sexual assault.
Peter Bennis owns a driving school and is also employed as a driving instructor for four other schools throughout the region, investigators said.
Police believe there could be more victims and are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
