Niagara Regional Police are searching for two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Niagara Falls on Thursday night.
According to police, two suspects attended a residence near Thorold Stone Road and Dorchester Road in the City of Niagara Falls and shot a male at around 8:50 p.m.
In a news release issued Friday, police said the victim was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.
The suspects have not yet been apprehended but descriptions have now been released by police.
The the first suspect has been described by investigators as a male between the ages of 25 and 35 who stands about five feet, six inches tall, and has a skinny build and dark skin. He was wearing a T-shirt, dark pants, shoes, sunglasses, and a red bandana.
The second suspect has been described as a female between 18 and 25 years old, with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and was wearing baggy blue sweatpants, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and white shoes.
The suspects parked near the scene of the shooting in a newer model white Nissan SUV, police said.
“The Homicide Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. The incident is believed to be targeted however members of the public should exercise caution as the suspects and firearm are still outstanding,” police said in a news release.
“Detectives are requesting businesses in the area of Thorold Stone Road and Dorchester Road review any video surveillance footage and contact police if the suspect or suspect vehicle is observed.”
Police are urging the suspects to speak with a lawyer and turn themselves in.
“The investigation is in it’s preliminary stages and more information will be made available as it becomes known,” the news release read.
