A 31-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal assault at a Niagara Falls business last week has been arrested.
Niagara Regional Police provided the update in a news release on Friday.
They said Brandon Fitzgerald was located on Thursday and taken into custody.
He has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Matthew McAra.
Police said the 37-year-old McAra was found without vital signs at a business on Lundy’s Lane near Hanan Avenue on the evening of Sept. 17.
He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but died days later.
Police said investigators determined that McAra was assaulted by two suspects.
Fitzgerald is the second suspect arrested in what police believe was a “targeted” incident.
Police arrested 46-year-old Alexander Piccirillo on Tuesday and also charged him with second-degree murder.
