A Toronto man has been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl he met online, and police believe there may be more victims.

Peel Regional Police said the suspect and the victim began talking on a popular social media platform in July.

The two later met up in the area of Bovaird Drive and Chinguacousy Road in Brampton. Police allege the girl was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a vehicle.

The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Jamal Douglas, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.

He is scheduled to appear in a Brampton court next month. Police have released a photo of the suspect as they say there may be more victims.
