A 21-year-old man from Barrie who was out on probation is facing charges after allegedly stealing a Porsche Cayenne parked in the driveway of a home in Mississauga last spring, police say.

Peel Regional Police say they were called to a residence, near Lorne Park Road and Lakeshore Road West, to investigate a reported break-and-enter and theft on June 15.

Police say the suspect broke into the victim’s home, stole undisclosed property and the 2016 luxury vehicle.

“At the time of the offences, the suspect was on a probation order for various criminal offences and prohibited from driving province-wide,” police said in Friday’s news release.

On Tuesday, police charged Caden Edwards with break and enter, theft, breach of probation and operation while prohibited.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call them at 905-453-2121, ext. 1133, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
