Police are appealing to the public to help identify a suspect involved in a series of indecent acts along the Credit River in Mississauga dating back to last summer.

Peel Regional Police (PRP) say the suspect was seen multiple times between August 2024 and January 29, 2025, with his pants lowered, committing an intentional indecent act.

Investigators say the incidents took place along the banks of the river between Timothy Street Park and Streetsville Public Cemetery near Bristol Road West and Queen Street South.

The suspect is described by police as a white man in his 20s with a light complexion, standing between five-foot-eight inches and six feet tall. He is said to have a slim to medium build with short dark hair and a trimmed, dark-coloured beard.

Police say one outfit the man was said to be wearing included a green jacket, black pants, and a black winter hat. However, they note that his clothing differed for each instance reported.

Investigators say in all instances the suspect and the victims were not known to each other and no physical interaction took place.

PRP believe there may be more victims and are appealing for them or any witnesses to come forward. Police are also advising caution along that portion of the Credit River and any adjacent trails.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-453–2121, ext. 1133 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
