Peel police have charged a Brampton man with sex trafficking offences after two victims alleged they were forced to perform sexual acts by their boss.

Police say on Aug. 25, two females reported to police that they were being asked by their employer to perform sexual favours at their workplace.

Both victims said they were working at Cozy VR Spa located in Brampton, near Hurontario Street and Steeles Avenue East, a spa that incorporates virtual reality, according to police.

“The victims were providing legitimate services as estheticians at the spa, but were soon asked by their boss to offer sexual services as add-ons to make more money,” Peel police said in a release on Wednesday.

Zain Al A’Rafreen, 30, of Brampton was arrested and charged with two counts each of procuring and exercising control, direction or influence.

Police say he was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims or witnesses and are urging anyone with information to call police at 905-453-2121 ext. 3454, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
