Peel police investigating Mississauga shooting

Phil Perkins has the latest from the scene as a man in his 30s is in life-threatening condition after an overnight shooting in Mississauga.

One male has been transported to a trauma centre following a shooting in Mississauga early Wednesday morning, Peel police said.

It happened near Southdown Road and Royal Windsor Drive at around 4:10 a.m.

Police said one male was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a Toronto area trauma centre for treatment.

The suspect vehicle, described by police as a white SUV with multiple occupants, fled the area in an unknown direction.
