A pedestrian in Mississauga has been rushed to the hospital after they were struck in a collision involving multiple vehicles, including a truck that fled the scene, Peel police said.
The incident occurred near Dixie and Burnhamthorpe roads at around 11 a.m. Monday.
Police said multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, including a pickup truck that did not remain at the scene. The driver was subsequently located and taken into custody, police said in an update.
The victim, who suffered critical injuries, was taken to a trauma centre for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
