Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Brampton early Thursday morning.
It happened near McLaughlin Road and Kingknoll Drive at around 1 a.m.
Police said the pedestrian was initially transported to hospital with critical injuries but later died.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene, according to investigators.
McLaughlin Road was closed between Steeles Avenue and Kingknoll Drive but all lanes have since reopened.
The Major Collision Bureau is investigating.
