According to police, at around 6 p.m. on Jan. 12, the victim and a suspect were in a parking lot in the area of Castlemore Road and McVean Drive when they became involved in a verbal dispute. The altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, police said, and the victim was attacked.

He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he died three days later.

On Jan. 20, police said, a suspect was arrested in the case. Police said the suspect, identified by investigators as 25-year-old Abdifatah Ahmed, has been charged with manslaughter.
