Multiple police agencies arrested a suspect related to a pair of shootings in the Caledon area that date back to late October.
In a late Friday news release, the OPP reports that officers responded to reports of two shootings at around 3 a.m. back on October 26, 2025.
The first was at a home on Old School Road in Caledon and the second was on Advance Road in Brampton. No injuries were reported.
Police say the two incidents are linked to ongoing extortion related activity in the area.
Then, on Friday, the OPP says its Caledon detachment officers teamed up with Peel Regional Police (PRP) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and travelled to British Columbia to execute a search warrant.
As a result, a 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
He was held in custody pending a Saturday court date in Brampton.
The investigation remains ongoing by the Caledon OPP Crime Unit under the partnership of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, PRP and CBSA.
Anyone with additional relevant information or surveillance footage is urged to contact PRP at 1-866-966-0616 or Caledon OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
