Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash with driver of a car in Mississauga

A motorcyclist has been rushed to the hospital following a collision involving a vehicle in Mississauga.

The crash occurred near Eglinton Avenue West and Terry Fox Way, just west of Mavis Road.

Peel Regional Police say they were called to that area just after 1 p.m. for reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car. Investigators said the driver of that vehicle remained on scene.

The motorcyclist was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition, they initially said. Police later described the motorcyclist’s injuries as non-life-threatening.

Paramedics, meanwhile, said they attended the scene and transported an adult male to the hospital in serious condition.

Currently, westbound Eglinton is closed at Heatherleigh Avenue and southbound Terry Fox is off limits closed at Focal Road due to the investigation. Delays are to be expected in the area.
