Two Peel police cruisers are damaged after colliding with each other in Mississauga on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Two Peel police cruisers collided as they were responding to a weapons call in Mississauga on Saturday afternoon.

The collision happened in the area of Dundas Street West and Mavis Road around 3:30 p.m.

Peel police said the collision happened “during an emergency response to an in-progress weapons call of a man with a knife.”

One of the cruisers also made “minor contact” with a civilian vehicle, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, police said the armed person was later located and taken into custody.
