Motorcyclist critically injured in Mississauga collision

Police say a man has been taken to a trauma centre after a motorcycle collided with a car in Mississauga on Monday afternoon.

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being ejected from the motorcycle he was operating following a collision involving a car in Mississauga on Monday afternoon, paramedics say.

Peel Regional Paramedic Services tell CTV News Toronto that they transported an adult male to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Peel Regional Police. meanwhile, said they were called to that area shortly before 3:30 p.m. for a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.

The motorcyclist, whom police also described as an adult male, was taken to trauma centre in serious condition, they sid.

The driver of the car remained on scene.

The westbound lanes of Derry Road in Mississauga were closed between Tomken and Kennedy roads but have since reopened.
