A Scarborough man is facing charges in connection with threats that were made against three Brampton schools earlier this week.

Peel police said a high school received numerous threatening messages on the phone between Sunday and Tuesday.

Investigators later found that similar threats were allegedly directed at a second high school and an elementary school.

“The investigation revealed that these threatening incidents involved the same suspect,” police said, adding that all the threats were determined to be unfounded.

On Tuesday, police arrested 31-year-old Bryan Hulme and charged him with utter threats and three counts of public mischief.

The motive behind the threats is unknown.
