Man injured in Brampton plaza stabbing, police say pocket knife was used

Police investigating after a 37-year-old Brampton man was stabbed at a plaza Friday May 15, 2026 (CP24 photo).

A 37-year-old Brampton man is in hospital with serious injuries after police say he was stabbed with a pocket knife Friday evening.

In an email to CP24, Peel regional police said the incident happened at roughly 7:30 p.m. following reports of a disturbance at a plaza in the area of Dixie Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard.

Police say the victim suffered injuries during the assault and was later transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics said the call came in at 7:42 p.m. and also confirming that one man was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

In an update on Saturday to CP24, investigators say it “appears a pocket knife was used“ in the assault.

No suspect information has been released at this time but officials say the investigation is ongoing.
