Two women have been transported to hospital, one of them with life-threatening injuries, after being struck by a school bus in Caledon.
Ontario Provincial Police said it happened at around 8 a.m. in the area of King Street East and John Street in Bolton.
Peel Regional Paramedic Services said two women were transported to hospital, one of them with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.
Twelve young people were onboard the bus at the time but none of them were injured, OPP said.
Roads in the area are expected to be closed for several hours as police investigate the collision.
“Closures are in place for large trucks at Queen Street and King Street, as well as Albion Vaughan Road and King Street East. For passenger vehicles, they can bypass the John/James closure via Albert Street,” OPP said in an email.
It’s not yet clear what led to the collision.
