Peel regional police say a Mississauga man has been charged after a series of unprovoked assaults and property damage incidents dating back to 2024.
In a news release, officials say investigators arrested 36-year-old Kuo Yang Du on an unrelated matter on June 20, 2026. Through the investigation, officers allege he was responsible for a string of incidents dating back to November 2024.
“The incidents, which occurred at all hours, include assaults on unsuspecting individuals and a male throwing rocks at vehicles and other property, causing damage,” police wrote. “Victims had no prior interaction with the accused.”
Kuo Yang Du, of Mississauga, has been charged with:
- Mischief over $5,000 (15 counts)
- Assault
- Assault with a weapon
Police say he was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not yet come forward. Police are asking anyone who may have had a similar interaction, been assaulted, or experienced damage to their vehicle or other property to contact investigators.
