A 19-year-old man is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after a shooting in Brampton, Ont., in April left two people seriously injured.
Peel police said the two victims were sitting in a vehicle on Central Park Drive, west of Torbram Road, on April 26, when two suspects entered the back seat.
As the vehicle drove away, one suspect fired a gun, striking the victims, police said.
They suffered serious injuries.
In a news release on Tuesday, police identified the alleged shooter as Kaleb Kimotho, of Brampton.
He is wanted for attempted murder using a firearm, aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm with intent, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition knowing it is unauthorized, and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
Kimotho, police said, should be considered armed and dangerous.
“Members of the public are advised not to approach and to call 911 immediately if seen,” police said. “Investigators are urging Kimotho to seek legal counsel and surrender to police.”
He is described as a Black male, five-foot-eight, weighing 130 pounds with a medium complexion, short black hair, and brown eyes.
