Peel police have released a video showing teenagers on dirt bikes driving recklessly in residential streets and sidewalks in Brampton.
The video was shared on Friday as police announced the arrest of three teenagers, including a 13-year-old, in connection with their investigation into the incidents dubbed “Project Rogue Riders.”
In the nearly one-minute video, teens on dirt bikes are seen speeding through residential neighbourhoods, driving on sidewalks and park pathways, and disobeying traffic signs.
Police said their investigation began in April following multiple community complaints about the dirt bikes.
On July 23, officers searched two homes in Brampton, resulting in the seizure of six dirt bikes, police said.
They also arrested three teenagers aged 13, 15, and 17. Police cannot name them under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The 13-year-old and 15-year-old were charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, stunt driving, and careless driving.
The 17-year-old was charged with breach of recognizance and careless driving.
