Organizers of the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival say its cavalcade of laughs set for this weekend in Mississauga, Ont., has been postponed.
It is not immediately clear why the event at Erindale Park was postponed, though the festival says in a notice on its website that the decision comes after “careful consideration.”
The festival’s notice says postponing the event will allow organizers to deliver the best show they can.
An annual comedy festival, events across Canada and the United States have featured acts such as Matt Rife, Nikki Glaser, Kevin Hart and John Mulaney.
Mulaney, who was headlining the Mississauga event, posted on social media Tuesday evening that the decision was unfortunate but that he intends to perform in the area soon.
The festival says it is exploring new show dates and would follow up directly with those who have already purchased tickets.
