A boy is in hospital following a collision in downtown Toronto Wednesday afternoon.

Toronto Police Service says it happened at the intersection of Harbord and Shaw streets, east of Ossington Avenue, just around 3:45 p.m.

A boy on board the bus was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

TPS initially reported that a police vehicle and bus collided but later clarified that it was a civilian vehicle that was involved.

The cause of the collision is unknown.
