Four cats are dead after a two-alarm fire at a North York apartment building early Tuesday morning.
Toronto Fire Services (TFS) told CP24 that the fire in the four-storey building, near Lawrence Avenue East and Don Mills Road, was contained to one unit, while a TTC bus was called to help shelter the residents.
A paramedic bus on the scene also provided shelter, TFS said.
There were no injuries to humans, but the four cats in the unit died.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and has since been cleared.
