A woman is in life-threatening condition after being hit by a truck in East York this afternoon.
In a social media post, police say the collision occurred just before 2 p.m. in the area of Mortimer and Pape avenues.
Toronto paramedics say she has been taken to a trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the truck remained on the scene.
Mortimer Avenue was closed between Pape and Woodycrest avenues for several hours but has since reopened.
