One person was seriously injured during a fight in Toronto’s West Don Lands area on Sunday evening, say police.

The incident happened at a residential building at 75 Cooperage St., which is near Cherry Street and Eastern Avenue.

Toronto police said they were called to that area at 6:10 p.m. for an assault.

They said that two males got into an altercation, and one was stabbed.

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene, while a second male was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, said police.

A media officer told CTV News Toronto that there is no risk to public safety.
