Two-alarm blaze breaks out at High Park highrise

Fire crews responded to a blaze on the sixth floor of a High Park neighbourhood apartment building. No injuries were reported.

Crews have now extinguished a two-alarm blaze that broke out at a High Park highrise apartment building.

The fire started on the balcony of a building on High Park Avenue, near Keele Street, on Monday morning.

Toronto Fire said heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from a unit on the sixth floor and the fire had extended beyond the balcony, causing some damage to the apartment.

No injuries were reported and officials say the fire is not believed to be suspicious in nature.
