Man stabbed in downtown Toronto

A male in his 40’s was stabbed in downtown Toronto on Monday morning, police say.

It happened near Gerrard and Sherbourne streets just after 11 a.m.

The victim was transported to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries, paramedics told CP24.

Officers are on the scene and investigating.

The eastbound lanes of Gerrard St. from Pembroke to Sherbourne streets are closed for the investigation.
