One male is dead following a shooting in Scarborough late Monday night, Toronto police say.
It happened near Kingston and Galloway roads at around 10:20 p.m.
Police said officers responded to the area after receiving calls about the sound of gunshots and one male was located at the scene.
The victim, police said, suffered gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead.
The suspect fled the area prior to the arrival of officers, according to investigators.
Police have not released a suspect description.
