Man injured, suspect in custody after knife incident in Etobicoke: police

Toronto police investigating after a man was injured following a knife incident in Etobicoke (CP24 photo).

One man has been injured and another is in custody after a reported knife incident in Etobicoke.

It’s unclear what time the incident occurred, but Toronto police say officers were called to the area of Kipling Avenue and Hinton Road after receiving reports of a person with a knife.

In an email to CP24.com, officials say they located a man in his 40s suffering from lacerations to his face and arms. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect, described as a man in his 30s, was also taken into custody at the scene police said.

Investigators say the circumstances of the incident are “still being investigated.”
