Toronto police are investigating after a vehicle flipped over leaving three people injured in Toronto’s downtown core early Sunday morning.

In a post to social media, officials say officers responded to the area of Adelaide Street and Portland Street just before 2 a.m. and found several vehicles damaged.

Police say the driver of the flipped vehicle was taken into custody.

Three patients were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Several roads in the area of the crash were closed as police investigated but have since re-opened.
