No injuries have been reported following an explosion in Toronto’s Forest Hill neighbourhood on Sunday evening.

The incident happened near Eglinton Avenue West and Castlewood Road, just east of Chaplin Crescent.

Police say they were called to that area shortly after 6 p.m. for reports of wires from an electrical transformer sparking and exploding.

Power outages are reported in the vicinity. Toronto Hydro is on scene.

Eglinton was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
