Blue Jays fans in Seattle are smiling in the streets after Toronto’s bats came alive on Wednesday in a decisive Game 3 win over the Mariners in the American League Championship Series.
At the city’s famous Pike Place Fish Market, the salmon were flying high and so were Jays fans.
“I think it’s pretty electric right now,” said market employee Brando Law, before chucking a chum salmon in front of a crowd sprinkled with Jays jerseys.

Fishmongers even joined in on the fun, jokingly offering up “smoked blue jay” to tourists.
Blue Jays fans were eating it up, including Kelowna, B.C.’s Jesse Atkinson, who made the trip with his wife and two kids.
“It was absolutely incredible,” said Atkinson. “They suddenly looked like the Jays again. I was a little worried, I’ve got to say, but they turned it around.”
That may be an understatement to describe the offensive explosion from the Jays on Wednesday night, fuelled by five home runs and a strong performance from starting pitcher Shane Bieber.

The team has now clawed its way back into the series after dropping the first two games at Rogers Centre in Toronto over the weekend.
With Game 4 set for Thursday night at T-Mobile Park, excitement is building—especially among the thousands of Canadian fans who’ve made the trip to Washington state.
Adam and Anda Neal brought their four-year-old son, Oliver, to see his first MLB game and it was a doozy.

“We pulled (Oliver) out of school and tickets ended up being CA$500 a pop,” Adam said. “Totally worth it, totally worth it for that experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat,” added Anda.
With Toronto looking to even the series, a win Thursday night or Friday afternoon in game five would guarantee a return to Rogers Centre and a chance to clinch a World Series berth on home turf.
