Police search for SUV after boy riding e-bike seriously injured in hit-and-run

Toronto police are looking for the driver of a vehicle in connection with a hit-and-run in North York that seriously injured a 15-year-old boy on Thursday night.

Police said the boy was riding his e-bike northbound on Bayview Avenue at Heathcote Avenue before 11 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle making a left turn.

The boy was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Police have a limited description of the vehicle, which is a dark-coloured SUV possibly linked to the area.
