A man was rushed to hospital in critical condition following a shooting in Brampton on Sunday night, Peel paramedics say.
It happened in the area of Conservation Drive and Dawnridge Trail, near Hurontario Street and Sandalwood Parkway, at around 10:30 p.m.
A 37-year-old male was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition, paramedics confirmed, but he is currently listed in stable condition, police said in an update on Monday morning.
Police have not released any details on possible suspects.
“At this time, it is unknown whether the incident was targeted. However, investigators believe this to be an isolated occurrence, and there is no known threat to public safety,” Peel police said in an email to CP24.
