Durham Regional Police are investigating after a male was seriously injured in a shooting in Oshawa late Wednesday night.
The incident occurred at around 11:50 p.m. in the area of Simcoe Street South and John Street West.
Police said they were called to the area for a reported shooting and found a male suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, police are searching for two male suspects who fled the scene.

One was wearing a black baseball hat, a black jacket, a red-hooded sweater, red pants and black shoes.
The second suspect has long dread-style hair and was wearing a light-coloured hat, a bright blue jacket with black shoulders and a white logo on the rear right shoulder and dark pants with a white stripe down the side.
“Investigators believe this incident to be an isolated incident,” police said.
