Police seeking suspect wanted in arson investigation

The suspect Toronto police say they are looking for wanted in connection to an arson investigation on Wednesday October 22, 2025 (TPS photos).

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who they say is wanted in connection with an arson investigation in the city’s west end.

In a news release, officials say officers were called to the area of Dupont Street and Edwin Avenue at around 1:59 a.m. on Wednesday for reports of a fire.

Police say a suspect “broke into a business,” poured an accelerant inside, and set the premises on fire before fleeing the area on foot.

The suspect is described as having a slim build and was last seen wearing a black hooded shirt, black pants, a black baseball cap, black gloves, and black shoes.

No further details have been provided at this time.
