More than $30,000 in designer sunglasses stolen from Pickering store

More than $30,000 worth of designer sunglasses were stolen from a store in a Pickering, Ont., mall last month, police say.

The three female suspects entered a Lenscrafters store in the Shops at Pickering City Centre at around 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 29. They proceeded to steal more than 60 pairs of sunglasses, according to investigators.

Durham police say they were able to identify two of three suspects and execute a search at a Toronto residence located near Dundas Street and Scarlett Road in Toronto in connection with the investigation.

More than $25,000 of the $30,000 in stolen merchandise was found, Durham police say.

Carolyn Vanessa Walker, 33, of Toronto is wanted for two charges related to the theft.

A 17-year-old from Mississauga is also wanted for two theft charges.

Police say they are also searching for a third unidentified suspect, wanted for the same charges.
