If you don’t have tickets for Game 6 of the World Series and want to watch the Blue Jays possibly win the championship with fellow Toronto sports fans, a watch party is being hosted at Scotiabank Arena on Friday night.

The Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), which owns the Toronto FC, Raptors, Maple Leafs and Argonauts, will show the game on the arena’s jumbotron.

The Blue Jays are sending Kevin Gausman to the mound while the Los Angeles Dodgers are countering with Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Compared to the eye-popping tickets being sold in the resale market for Game 6, the price for the watch party is $15, with the net proceeds supporting the MLSE Foundation. Tickets will go on sale at 5:30 p.m. today.

“Sports have the incredible power to bring people together, and when one of our teams is experiencing success like we are seeing with the Blue Jays’ World Series run, Toronto unites like nowhere else in the World,” MLSE President and CEO Keith Pelley said in a statement.

“The Blue Jays are making history and we are pleased to give fans an opportunity to show support and build unforgettable memories as we cheer, celebrate and support them.”

MLSE said there will be pre-game programming and giveaways, and activations during the watch party.

If there’s a Game 7 on Saturday, MLSE will host another watch party.

The Blue Jays are looking to win their first World Series title since they went back-to-back champions in 1992 and 1993.

The City of Toronto is also hosting a watch party at Nathan Phillips Square. Surrounding municipalities are also holding their own viewing parties, including at Mississauga’s Celebration Square.
