One Oshawa resident is now $25 million richer after winning the Jays Care Foundation’s World Series 50/50 Jackpot.
The winner, identified as Aric from Oshawa, Ont., takes home a Grand Prize of $25,010,057.
The news is also being delivered to the winner by Blue Jays legend Joe Carter.

The jackpot smashed all previous 50/50 records, including the $3.5 million jackpot for the ALCS, and the $1.2 million jackpot for the ALDS.
Proceed of the raffle go to support the charity’s Baseball for Development programs. Funds are used in communities across Ontario and Nova Scotia to help children with physical or cognitive disabilities play baseball. The money also goes toward building baseball diamonds and providing baseball programs for children in First Nations communities.
