While it may not be an artifact that’s headed to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Blue Jays fans will soon be able to catch a glimpse of the “now-iconic” pull-out couch that Addison Barger crashed on the night before the World Series.
Ahead of his record-breaking performance in Game 1 of the Fall Classic in Toronto, where Barger hit the first pinch-hit grand slam in World Series history, the 25-year-old slept on his teammate Davis Schneider’s couch at the Toronto Marriott City Centre hotel, which overlooks the Rogers Centre.
The unconventional sleeping arrangements made international headlines, with Schneider confirming that Barger bunked with him again the following night.

“What started as a humble spot to lay his head has now become the stuff of baseball legend and fans can now get up close with the sofa that helped fuel one of Canada’s most talked-about recent moments,” Marriott said in a news release issued Wednesday.
The sofa will be on display from Nov. 7 to Nov. 14 in the lobby of the downtown hotel.
To mark the club’s remarkable postseason run, the hotel is also launching a contest to give one lucky fan and a guest an “unforgettable game-day experience” in 2026 with a one-night’s stay in one of the hotel’s field-view rooms and an authentic Toronto Blue Jays jersey.
To enter, fans must take a photo or video with the couch, post it on Instagram or TikTok, and tag @TorontoMarriottCC, including #FieldViewCouch in the post. Entries will be accepted until noon on Nov. 14.
