A Toronto police officer was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle during a traffic stop in Scarborough on Thursday morning.
Police say it happened in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Midland Avenue shortly after 11:30 a.m.
The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
In addition to hitting the officer, police say the fleeing vehicle also struck another vehicle, but no one was physically injured in that collision.
The driver was located a short time later and was arrested, police say.
