Police have released an image of a suspect accused of assaulting a Jewish person in a suspected hate-motivated incident in North York in September.
It happened on the evening of Sept. 27 in the area of Bathurst Street and Baycrest Avenue.
Toronto police said the victim was walking on the sidewalk when the suspect, who was a passenger in a vehicle that was driving by, allegedly threw something at them.
“During the assault, the suspect directed racial slurs towards the victim,” police allege.
He is described as a man between 20 and 24 years old, about six-foot-two with a skinny build and a thin moustache.
Police said he was wearing a white shirt with a grey sweater, black pants, and a black beanie hat.
They are asking anyone with information to come forward and contact them at 416-808-3500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
