29-year-old man arrested after stabbing inside North York home: police

Toronto police have made an arrest after an early morning stabbing inside a North York home on Sunday.

In a post to social media, officials say officers were called to the area of the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West at around 5:04 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.

Police say two men who are known to each other became involved in an altercation inside the home. During the incident, one man allegedly stabbed the other.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, a 29-year-old man who police did not identify has been arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon and failure to comply.

No further information has been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
