There are several planned track works on TTC Line 2 and GO Transit’s Kitchener and Barrie lines this weekend as well as the Union Pearson Express, which are going to result in service disruptions.

Here’s what you need to know if you are commuting around downtown Toronto or heading to Toronto Pearson.

TTC

There is no subway service on Line 2 between Kipling and Jane stations on Saturday and Sunday.

The TTC says shuttle buses will be running.

TTC Line 2 subway closure from Nov. 29 to 30 TTC Line 2 subway closure from Nov. 29 to 30.

While trains will not be running at those stations, they will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card and to connect to other surface routes.

The TTC says Wheel-Trans service will be available to any customer who requires assistance.

GO Train, UP Express

There will be no GO Train service on the Kitchener Line between Bramalea and Union stations.

GO replacement buses will operate at Bramalea to take customers to Hwy. 407 Terminal, where they can take the TTC subway to Union.

There will be no GO transit at Bloor, Mount Dennis and Weston stations.

Kitchener Line disruption

UP Express service is also suspended and Metrolinx says GO shuttle buses are running only between Union Station Bus Terminal and the airport’s Terminal 1.

Shuttle buses are not stopping at Bloor, Mount Dennis and Weston stations.

Metrolinx says the modified service is “to accommodate critical track work that will bring faster, more frequent service across the network.”

The transit agency notes construction is taking place along the rail corridor, including a project near St. Clair Old Weston.

Trains will continue to run from Kitchener to Bramalea stations.

On the Barrie Line, trains will not run between Rutherford and Union stations. There will still be train service from Allandale Waterfront to Rutherford stations.

Barrie Line disruption

Metrolinx says track work on the Barrie Line is being conducted to widen the corridor that would enable future installation of a second track and bring more frequent two-way all-day service.

“This work can only be completed when train service is modified,” the transit agency says.

GO replacement buses will operate at Rutherford Station to bring riders to Hwy. 407 Terminal. There will be no GO Transit services at Downsview Park Station.
